I love shooting in the snow! It’s so bright and beautiful and different!
The only shoot I have ever done of my very own parents, whom I love and appreciate more than words can express, was done last winter right about this time. The first one is one my favourites ever, just because it shows their personalities so starkly and beautifully.
Now, prepare for a little gushing….
Mom and dad, you mean the absolute world to me. I don’t know what I would ever do without you, and it’s an honour, a privilege and a huge blessing to have you for my parents. Who I am today is hugely because of the values and unconditional love you have always given me and I strive everyday to be as fun, adventurous and patient a parent as you have always proven to be. Your grandchildren adore you, we adore you, and we thank-you for all that you are. xoxo

After the family being struck down by the flu, we’re back to the land of the living and I’m ready to start shooting, shooting, shooting!!
Our Blush event with Sheer Fusion and S’in Style was a rockin’ success! The ladies nailed it and we had a blast!! Wine, hors d’oeuvres, and dress-up. What more could a girl ask for out of an evening! Once I have permission I’m hoping to blog a few, so stay tuned.
Here are some shots from my 2nd latest family shoot. We braved a cool day and had so much fun bubble-blowing, tromping through the grass, and John, you officially hold the title for most-cooperative-husband-ever! Not to mention those beautiful girls of yours!

We’re so excited about our next event with S’in Style and Sheer Fusion. What a great gift to yourself (and your man might be a bit excited, too)! A fantastic opportunity to get a little taste of what’s being called a very empowering experience.
Check it out!!

Although I’ve photographed dogs before, I’ve never done it for anyone other than a family pet, but when the breeder we adopted our beautiful lab from asked me to take some photos for her website, I was thrilled…very nervous, but thrilled! Her website is www.labralayne.com and she is very passionate about her “kids”, who all performed beautifully that brisk October morning!

What a sweet family! Two sisters and a brother, big age difference, big love!
J, D and D, it’s easy to see you guys have a closeness, and you totally rocked this out! I hope you had as much fun as I did.
Next time we’ll get all 4 of you, and a big grin from Dex!

As promised, a little peek from the last Blush shoot.
What rockin’ ladies we had turn out for this one, with everything from scarves, sweaters and boots to corsets and fishnets. Every single lady brought their own personality and individuality to the shoot and it was simply a beautiful day spent with beautiful women. Thanks to each and every one of you for allowing us to capture your beauty on camera.
We’re holding some in-studio and Palliser Hotel marathon sessions on the following dates:
October 25
November 8
November 22
December 6
We can also do a shoot in the privacy of your home or in-studio on days other than what’s listed above. Just contact the studio through www.projectblush.ca . It’s a beautiful gift for your husband or fiance, but mostly an incredible gift to yourself in celebration of who you are today.
I have my personal favourites of every girl we’ve ever taken pictures of, and thanks to Miss L. for allowing me to use this stellar shot!

Anyone who knows me, really in any capacity whatsoever, would know how excited I was to be asked to take the following pictures.
Is it me, or are grandma and grandpa just ain’t what they used to be….. ? Waaahooooooooooooo!
Thanks Lorraine and Barry for this opportunity. You’re a beautiful couple and you ROCKED this! I hope you guys had as much fun as I did!! I’d love to post them all but have restrained myself to these few favourites ….

A blustery day with plenty of sunshine and happiness, an incredibly joyful bride, the sweetest groom, supportive and gracious family all around… this was the wedding of Lindsay and Jason.
I had a friend (in high school, which you can tell by the wisdom I’m about to bestow…) who believed the future of a relationship could be foretold by how good a story the couple had about how they got together. If that’s true, these guys are destined for greatness! What a fun story for an equally stellar couple! Thank-you both for allowing us to share your day with you. You’re friendship and love for each other was evident to all around.

What a blast we had doing this 50’s-style shoot for my uber-talented and long-time friend Pam, creator and owner of www.candyappleaprons.com . She is one of the coolest, most creative and real people I have had the pleasure of knowing and I am blessed to call her my friend. Check out her site to mix and match fabrics or place a custom order. I have one and they’re SO FUN!! Just slipping one on puts you in a playful little mood!
Thanks to Katy (again!) at F.L.E.S.C.H. for the stunning job of hair and make-up (contact me for her info. She’s fabulous!). This couldn’t have been done without you! And to Laura, the super-cute blond model, who also happens to be my beautiful and wicked-talented friend / sister-in-law and co-worker. And also a big thanks to Pop’s, the NEATEST ice cream shop in Calgary! From lunch to dessert, they have it all and it’s AMAZING!!
Be sure to check out Pam’s booth at the Festival of Crafts at the Calgary Round-Up Centre on the Nov. 27 – 30. She won’t be hard to spot … she’s the sassy dark-haired model in all the shots!!
Pam, thank-you for trusting me to record your vision. I’m honoured to have been a part of it. I know without a doubt, you are doing what you are meant to be doing! You are, and have always been, an inspiration.
